The Furukawa Electric Co., Ltd. (Furukawa) announced the official launch of the Furukawa (Thailand) Co., Ltd. sales subsidiary to serve Thailand's growing computer, electronics and automotive industries. Furukawa (Thailand) 's primary products include Salamander® lead-free, low-nitrogen reflow ovens, Tex-E tripled-insulated wire, dielectric chip antennas and other electronics components.
Located in the Soi Chidlom Area of Bangkok, the company is headed by chief executive officer Yoshiaki Iijima, a long-time communications engineer and president of Thai Furukawa Unicom Engineering Co.,Ltd. since 1999.
Tomoyuki Udagawa, sales manager for Furukawa (Thailand) Co. Ltd, will oversee daily operations of the company, manage the Furukawa sales staff and maintain relationships with distributors and agents.
Furukawa is known globally for its advanced, low-nitrogen reflow ovens. Key applications of the Salamander oven include lead-free computer chip soldering operations. Furukawa's patented TEX-e wire enables production of smaller switching transformers, thus reducing production time and costs. Primary product applications include battery chargers and SMP units for multiple digital, video and computer products. The company's dielectric chip antennas are an essential component for mobile phones, computers and automotive electronics systems such as electronic toll sensors.
