The Furukawa Electric Co., Ltd., Furukawa Automotive Parts Inc. (Furukawa Group) and Minda Group, one of the leading manufacturers of automobile components in India, established new Joint Venture Company named Minda Furukawa Electric Private Ltd.(Joint Venture Company) in India. Joint Venture Company’s business scope is the manufacturing and sales for the Automobile Wiring Harness for mainly Japanese Automobile Makers in India, such as Maruti Suzuki, an India-based affiliated company of Suzuki Motor Corporation who has the largest Automobile market share in India. Joint Venture Company is targeting the sales revenues of approx. JPY 5,000 million in 2010.
Joint Venture Company will expand its business in the future for manufacturing and sales of Automotive Components, such as Steering Roll Connectors etc, using for the airbag system which is one of the safety devises for Automobiles.

Joint Venture Company will develop the Automotive Products Business in India combining the technology of Design, Development, Manufacturing and Quality Control, which Furukawa Group possess and Labor Management in India which Minda Group is good at in order to obtain the customer satisfaction in Indian Market as leading BRICs.
Joint Venture Company will expand the business of Automobile Wiring Harnesses and Automotive Components for mainly Japanese Automobile Makers in Indian market.
