| 1. Effective use of space | ||||
| With its compact size and large allowable current, bus duct makes effective
use of space compared to bulky wiring of plenty of wires. Moreover, it
can quickly respond to layout changes due to its modularized construction;
routing obstacles can be easily bypassed using rectangular units except
for branched bus ducts where only straight units are available. |
||||
| 2. Ease of installation | ||||
| Extension using plug-in boxes is possible without interrupting electric
power supply, and receptacles on the box permit easy installation of feeders
on the secondary side. Moreover, identification of feeder routing is very
easy because branching can be done quite close to the loads. In addition,
non-interrupting extension of branching bus duct is permitted using a junction
box incorporating circuit breaker. |
||||
| 3. Segregated routing is possible | ||||
| Segregated feeder routing of communication and power supply becomes possible
by installing this feeder system on the ceiling side and communication
cables under the free-access floor. |
