Hiroshi Ishihara Conferred “The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Star”
In recognition of his services in the promotion of Japanese industry, Furukawa Electric advisor Hiroshi Ishihara was conferred The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Star in the spring 2018 conferment.

I feel truly honored and fortunate to be bestowed with this award.
This honor is not mine alone to take; rather, I take it on behalf of the industries I have worked with and the Furukawa Electric Group. I give my heartfelt gratitude for the guidance and support given by the many people who have helped me so far, without whom this could not have been possible.
I hope to continue to devote myself to the development of our society to the best of my ability.
