Furukawa Electric Co., Ltd. held Furukawa Electric Eco-Smart Technologies Fair 2010 in Shenzhen on July 16, at Grand Hyatt hotel in Shenzhen, China.
Background
As the domestic Japanese market continues to struggle, Furukawa Electric believes that it is essential to increase the ratio of overseas sales if it is to continue to grow its business. To accelerate the development of a presence in overseas markets, especially in emerging economies, the Furukawa Electric Group held the second Technologies Fair for overseas Group companies, following the inaugural fair held in Bangkok last October.
Description
As a part of our global area marketing, this year’s Technologies Fair was designed to bolster the presence of Group companies in southern China and find new customers among influential local enterprises.
Furukawa Electric was joined by fifteen local corporations in southern China, and eight Group companies, including Chinese affiliates, in making panel presentations on 50 products and technologies. Presentations were also made on four key technologies: leading-edge magnet wire technologies, wire harnesses for the next-generation automobiles, electrodeposited copper foil for lithium ion batteries, and fiber laser.
The Fair attracted more than 500 visitors from a broad array of industries, including electronics, automobiles, telecommunications, construction, infrastructure development, banks, and trading companies.
Many of the exhibited products attracted great interest, such as MCPET, the microcellular foamed light reflector for LED lights, Eco Ace Plus, halogen-free electrical wires, high-reflective aluminum coated materials, and copper alloy strips for connectors used in electronic equipment.

Future schedule
