MISSION
- In-orbit demonstration of satellite components such as Heat Pipe Module, S-band Transceiver, On-Board computer, and High-Durability Aluminum Alloy Wire
- Acquisition of mass production and operational technologies for small satellites
- Fundamental demonstration of next-generation satellites, specifically formation flight satellites
Key Features of FUNADE
FUNADE consists of two 4U (10 × 10 × 40 cm) Nano-satellites, capable of operating in two modes: a docked state and a separated state.
After deployment from the launch vehicle, the satellites initially operate in a docked configuration to carry out mission tasks. Later, they separate via a tether mechanism.
In this separated state, the system performs a fundamental demonstration of formation flight, a key technology for next-generation satellites.
Demonstartion components
The Furukawa-made components to be demonstrated in orbit aboard FUNADE include four items: the Heat Pipe Module, High-Durability Aluminum Alloy Wire, S-band Transceiver, and On-Board computer.
The expected mission flow is introduced through a video presentation.
