July 14, 2016

Furukawa Electric's stock was selected today as one of the investment stocks (index portfolio stock) included in the SNAM Sustainability Index.

The SNAM Sustainability Index is an investment index managed by Sompo Japan Nipponkoa Asset Management Co., Ltd. (SNAM). Sustainable investments are SRI (socially responsible investment) funds for pension trusts and institutional investors that invest broadly in firms having a strong positive evaluation for the environment, society and governance, and seek to contribute to long-term investor wealth accumulation by actualizing management quality and hidden risks that do not appear in financial statements and assessing corporate value from a long-term viewpoint.

The Furukawa Group will continue to contribute to “the realization of a sustainable society” based on Furukawa G Plan 2020, its medium-term management plan that seeks the group's evolution through the “Delivering Sustained Profitable Growth”.
