Furukawa Electric Group has established the purpose of "Composing the core of the brighter world" on the occasion of celebrating its 140th anniversary this year.
Since the founding of the company in 1884, we have focused our businesses on the transmission, connection and storage of energy, information and heat, and based on our four core technologies of “Metals”, “Polymers”, “Photonics” and “High-frequency”, we provide a wide range of technologies, products and services to the field of infrastructure, including telecommunications and energy, as well as to the automotive products and electronics.
Carrying on the words of our founder, Ichibei Furukawa, who said “Value employees, value customers, value new technology, and contribute to society”, we are striving to embody our group’s “Core Values” of achieving “Innovation” from a standpoint of “Integrity”, pursuing “Ownership and Speed” while “Addressing Reality” and carrying out the business activities through “Collaboration” as a team, and through this, we will contribute to the realization of a sustainable society.
There are concerns about a slowdown in economic activity given the uncertain global affairs, but at the same time, the implementation of DX is accelerating in a wide range of domains. In addition, there are growing demands from society for the achievement of SDGs and realization of carbon neutrality.
Directed at achieving “Furukawa Electric Group Vision 2030”, we will develop new technologies, products and services that contribute to solving the social issues. In addition, we will work to strengthen and transform the businesses and further enhance the trust and expectations from all of our stakeholders.
