Social Media Terms of Use

• The Furukawa Electric Group recognizes the importance of personal information. The personal information you provide will be managed and used appropriately in accordance with the Furukawa Electric Group Personal Information Protection Policy and any equivalent Furukawa Electric Group privacy policies or regulations concerning protection of personal information.
• If you submit a post to a Furukawa Electric Group account, the Furukawa Electric Group may use your account information for the purposes of replying, etc.

• Acts that incur disadvantage or damage to the Furukawa Electric Group (including its directors and employees; this meaning shall apply hereinafter in this section) or a third party, or acts that may potentially incur disadvantage or damage to the above.
• Acts that identify, disclose, or leak personal information without the consent of the person concerned.
• Acts that damage the honor and/or credibility of the Furukawa Electric Group or a third party, slander, defamation, or privacy-infringing acts.
• Acts that infringe on the intellectual property rights, portrait rights, or other rights of the Furukawa Electric Group or a third party.
• Acts such as misrepresentation by exaggeration of the products, services, product quality, etc. of the Furukawa Electric Group or a third party.
• Acts that are or may be offensive to public order and morality, or acts that lead to or may lead to crime or criminal acts.
• Acts that violate or may violate laws, regulations and ordinances.
• Fraudulent acts that mislead others into thinking that you have some kind of cooperative relationship with the Furukawa Electric Group or a third party.
• Acts involving impersonation of another user, a third party, etc.
• The acts of writing posts or comments that are not related to the purpose of posts, etc. set out by the Furukawa Electric Group or writing posts or comments for affiliate/advertising/promotional purposes.
• Acts that violate the rules set out by the social media platform, such as fraudulent acts.
• Other than the above, acts reasonably deemed improper by the Furukawa Electric Group.

• Please note that the Furukawa Electric Group’s statements, posts, or views expressed on social media may not necessarily represent official announcements or views of the Furukawa Electric Group. Please refer to news releases and other pages of the official Furukawa Electric Group website for official announcements or views expressed by the Furukawa Electric Group.
• The Furukawa Electric Group does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of information on Furukawa Electric Group accounts.
• The Furukawa Electric Group will not be liable for any damages whatsoever caused by use of or inability to use Furukawa Electric Group accounts.
• The Furukawa Electric Group will not be liable for any content posted by users.
• The Furukawa Electric Group will not be liable for any problems or disputes that occur between you and third parties that occur in relation to Furukawa Electric Group accounts.

• Furukawa Electric Co., Ltd. may change these Terms of Use without prior notice.
• These Terms of Use are governed by Japanese law. In the event of a dispute between the user(s) and Furukawa Electric Co., Ltd., the Tokyo District Court is to be the court of exclusive jurisdiction in the first instance.
• Any other items not specified by these Terms of Use are to be governed by the stipulations of the “Terms of Use” page of the Furukawa Electric Co., Ltd. website.
