Announcement Regarding Flood Damage Due to Heavy Rains in Indonesia (update)

This announcement is to update you on the situation regarding the impact of the heavy rains in Indonesia from December 31, 2019 to January 1, 2020, on Furukawa Electric Group company operations.

1. Damage status

The headquarters and factory of TMS, a consolidated subsidiary of the Company located in Jakarta, Republic of Indonesia, ceased operations due to flood damage on January 2, but have restarted operations as of the middle of January. No TMS employees were injured.

We have confirmed that none of the Group’s production and sales bases located in Indonesia other than TMS have been seriously damaged by the heavy rains and that there are no operational problems.

The impact of this flood damage on the Company’s consolidated business results will be negligible.
