“Furukawa Electric Group Greenhouse Gas Reduction Targets 2035”
Furukawa Electric Co., Ltd. has set forth the Furukawa Electric Group Environmental Vision 2050 with the aim of contributing to a carbon free society. Directed at becoming carbon neutral in 2050, greenhouse gas reduction targets have already been set for 2030 as interim targets, and we have now newly set targets for 2035.
Contribute to a carbon-free society (2030 targets)
(1) Greenhouse gas emissions from business activities (Scope 1 & Scope 2): Reduce by at least 42% compared to FY2021
(2) Greenhouse gas emissions in the value chain (Scope 3): Reduce by at least 25% compared to FY2021
(3) Ratio of renewable energy use to total consumption: 50%

(2) Greenhouse gas emissions in the value chain (Scope 3): Reduce by at least 38% compared to FY2021
(3) Ratio of renewable energy use to total consumption: 70%
