Junnosuke Furukawa, honorary advisor of Furukawa Electric Co., Ltd., received The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Star during the 2016 autumn conferral, in recognition of his efforts to help advance Japanese industry.

It is truly an honor to receive this unexpected conferment.
Rather than accepting on my own, I accept it as a representative of the associated industries and of our corporate group, with which I have been involved for many years. It was due to the advice and encouragement of many people that I was able to receive this honor. Thank you very much, everyone.
