|Award||Invention Prize in the 2023 Nationwide Commendation for Invention|
|Invention||Invention of Heat-resistant Resin, Component, and Manufacturing Method (PAT. No. 6219268)|
|Inventors||Masaki Nishiguchi, Arifumi Matsumura|
|Details of the invention||The present invention relates to a new cross-linking method that enables the blending of filler with a high degree of freedom and resin component manufactured using this method. Using resin component manufactured based on this invention as cable jacketing material enables the manufacture of excellent electrical wire with multiple functions including heat-resistance, strength, flexibility, external damage resistance and workability. Such wire is expected to contribute to the following.
Furukawa Electric is currently using resin component achieved through this invention as jacketing material for electrical wire for electronic devices, automobiles and industrial power cable. Going forward, use of this resin component will be expanded to include electrical wire used in the renewable energy domain, including solar power and wind power, and it will also be applied to products other than electrical wire, such as tubes, packing and automobile interior materials.
